There are two (2) types of Agents in the gaming world, including: Partner Agents and Price Per Head Agents.
A Partner Agent arrangement is typically based on a revenue sharing relationship where an Agent is based onshore and a bookmaker is based offshore (50%/50% partners). The Onshore Agent is responsible for (i) finding clients, (ii) managing client relationships, (iii) paying and collecting, and (iv) insuring his Offshore Partner (who processes the wagers) gets paid his portion of the 'win'.
A Price Per Head (PPH) Agent relationship is typically based on an offshore bookmaker charging an onshore agent a flat service fee based on the number of players that play a week (for example $50 per head, per week of client play). The Onshore Agent is responsible for (i) finding clients, (ii) managing client relationships, (iii) paying and collecting, and (iv) insuring his Offshore Partner (who processes the wagers) gets paid an agreed upon 'service fee'.
As one might guess, the concept of a Price Per Head (PPH) Agent is growing at a very fast pace because of the value proposition to onshore agents, including: ability to take wagers 24 hours a day, ability to offer clients sportsbook/casino/racebook, ability to minimize legal exposure, ability to make more money than as a Partner Agent, and many more HUGE benefits.
